The October Closers

Consider 2026 SVOC kicked off!

WE’RE OFF TO A GREAT START! NEXT UP: ROY COOPER EVENT 9/15

Open The October Closers

Hey Closers,

Consider us kicked off!

They say companies only go out of business for two reasons: 1) they run out of money, or 2) they give up—usually because they think they can’t raise more money. The same could be said for political movements.

If our kickoff event with Jon Ossoff this Wednesday was any indication, I don’t think our movement is going out of business any time soon. Between Jon’s energy, the overflowing crowd, the incredibly generous donations, and the 100-degree temperatures, our 2026 October Closers campaign got off to a hot start this Wednesday.

Like Jon said, the foe we are facing is formidable, determined, eager to keep stacking the deck in their favor, and loaded with dark money which they are pouring into a few races like Georgia. We must not only defend Jon’s seat, but we must hand them their shirts… and that takes resources. If you haven‘t given yet, please please give what you can to Jon’s campaign. We have to fight the power of the few with the might of the many.

On to North Carolina!

We now turn our focus to North Carolina, which is as critical to our efforts as Georgia. Governor Roy Cooper is exactly the candidate to finally turn one of North Carolina’s senate seats back to blue, where it belongs. Georgia and North Carolina are microcosms of the new American project—a beautiful white, black, and brown, rural and urban, conservative and progressive soup.

We are pleased to be co-hosting an event with Roy in Palo Alto this coming Tuesday, September 15th, from 5:00 - 6:30 pm. Let’s show Roy the same love we did to Jon! (Per our usual requirement, the campaign has added $250 tickets for October Closer attendees.)

Roy was a two-term Democratic governor of North Carolina who took office during the state’s culture war over the “bathroom bill” which was causing businesses, events, and jobs to flee the state. He successfully led a repeal of the law three months into his first term. Eight years later North Carolina was creating a record number of new jobs and ranked the best state in America for business.

Roy is extremely impressive in person—but even if you can’t make it, please make whatever donation you can. The Republicans are desperate to hold the seat and have been using horrible false advertising against him lately!

Join Governor Cooper this Tuesday in Palo Alto!

In our second event of the season, we are co-hosting North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper. He is running an excellent campaign but taking enormous hits from $40M+ of false Republican attack ads. They are scared, but we are determined.
